Our City Lights... and a little giveaway!

Im so very very excited about this! our.city.lights is one of my favourite blogs ever {no lies} If you havent already, you need to check it out. {Seriously CLICK THE LINK NOW!!!!} Diana is potentially one of the most lovely girls ever, kind, sweet, tattooed, super talented photographer and a lover of books {she hit the cool jackpot I swear} Its been a while since I have done one of these little features, but I was so excited when Diana agreed to pop by and have a wee chat about whats in her handbag, slow cookers and a band with my name!

Hi my name is Diana But you can call me D My blog is ourcitylights.org The best thing I have learnt in the last 7 days is that my college sleeping schedule does not work for me at 29. In my bedroom you will find piles of books on my reading list I really like to cook something as easy as possible. The slow cooker and I are best of friends. My favourite book is The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls One of the things I cant live without is my heavily prescribed glasses. I take my coffee french-pressed, hot, sugarless, a little cinnamon. In my handbag you will find my ipod, my cellphone, kindle, and a camera or two. In 1999 I was graduating high school and enrolling in beauty school. The last song that I listened to was Tilly and the Wall's Lost Girls. It's been on repeat lately.Last night I dreamt about babies, and thankfully it was just a dream! Not many people know this about me but I am a huge fan of the show JONAS (no judging!) I think everyone should know that I'm painfully shy.The best advice my mum ever gave me was your worth is not based on others opinions of you. I am inspired by fellow bloggers, bike rides, and music. In the second half of 2010 I will finally start my to-do list for 2010

  2. Favorite city . . . It's gonna be so hard to pick. Can it be a tie between Paris, New Orleans, and San Francisco? I love Paris for the romance, wine cafes, and beauty; New Orleans for being the most unique city in the United States, with more spirit than I've ever seen anywhere; San Francisco cause it's gorgeous and progressive and so adventuresome.

But there are a lot of cities I still want to go to . . . and hopefully I'll make it there someday!

  5. My favorite city would probably be Edinburgh. I've always loved Great Britain (sometimes I think I would really like to live there). I went on a high school band trip across the sea and after crying while landing in Glasgow from the sheer beauty (yes, I'm emotional) I headed with the group to Edinburgh, Scotland. I love the castle and the Royal Mile, how the daylight lasted ages during the summer, and I love the accent just as much. There was so much character and I was so utterly disappointed when we had to leave and move on towards England. I of course loved all of Great Britain but Edinburgh just had my heart.

  11. Oh, my goodness...I am so happy I found your sweet blog via Diana. Diana is so cool and you are super adorable. I am now a follower adn I can't wait to get to know you and your blog better.

I've had Diana's photo, You Are My Everything, on my wishlist for a while now. Her photo's are so whimsicle and i love them.

I also love that she has Disneland photo's. I feel like Disneyland is the playground of my youth. I grew up in Southern California and my parents would surprise us by picking us up early in the day from school and taking us to Disneyland.

Thank you for hosting this lovely giveaway and giving us a chance to get to know Diana a bit better.

    Wishing you love,

  14. I have two favourite cities, London and Munich.

I love London because the first time I visited when I was 15 it really opened my eyes. I was a catholic schoolgirl from Spain and I had never seen an Indian person before or met someone who wasn't a catholic. it made me realise your background isn't all that matters and there are millions of potential friends out there. Besides, I love the fact that it's such an old city but so modern at the same time, it's great for shopping and it has the best cultural life.

My other favourite is Munich. I lived there for a year and miss it constantly. I love how it's in the heart of Europe and you can get almost anywhere by train. I love how it's a big city but it retains its character and I love the fact that it's next to beautiful lakes and the Alps. Oh, and the beer!
