One day soon

There is so much going on right now in my world. I am 70 days out from moving citites, starting a new life in a new place, with new people. Thats exciting. Im crafting like a mad woman for my next craft fair. I am so low on things to sell, which of course is good, but means I am busy busy. I have a few photo shoots coming up. Plus a twenty first that im organising. Oh man, I wish I didnt need to sleep sometimes!

Today, however, I was lucky enough to take a couple of hours out and spend some time talking to my dear sweet Lana. I miss her so terribly, but its so nice to know that she is doing well and that life is treating her wonderfully. We got to talking, and I realised that I need to start saving so that I can get over to visit her. Of course I had always hoped to return to the beautiful United States one day soon. {I cant believe its been 6 months since I returned from my last trip} but I have decided to get my butt into gear and get a saving again. Of course, with moving, its going to be a little hard to save HUGE amounts of money, but a little bit every week, will make for a lot in the end. I know it.

I doodled on this map. This is a rough idea of where I would like to go. I have friends in Oklahoma City, Kansas City and family {well, practically} in Birmingham so those are musts!! Of course, its not cemented! I want to revisit some of the places I have already been, and I have added a few new cities in too!

Shall we take a closer look.
San Francisco - Portland - Seattle - Las Vegas - Oklahoma City - Kansas City - New Orleans - Birmingham - Chigago - Washington DC - Philadelphia - New York City

but but but... This is where YOU come in! I know alot of you are from the lovely US of A, so! Where should I be going that Im not? What beauties of your land should I see that Im not already planning too? What hidden treasures must I discover? I am TOTALLY interested in hearing where you think I should be travelling too! Last time I did something like this, I travelled from November to January {winter in the USA...what was I thinking!} this time, I am planning to travel maybe march to june or september to november... any thoughts on that as well? I know crossing the country means im going to encounter all sorts of heats haha. I wonder when is the best time to do it?

Only 3 more days to enter the photoswap if you havent already... what are you waiting for?

  3. That's wonderful! I hope you get to come across the sea again! My hometown is only an hour and a half away from DC and I always love to visit the museums and such there (although that already appears to be a stop). I think your line goes above where I currently live or I'd offer you a bed in VA!

  5. Well, I'm in San Diego now but I've got to say your list looks pretty spectacular without it. San Diego is a lot of fun though, and if for some reason you end up in this town I recommend checking out our "world famous" zoo, and certainly Balboa Park (the zoo is pretty much in the park, so it's kind of a given). There are a trillion other things to do here but I think those are must.

Also, I know you probably get some amazing experiences in the great outdoors in New Zealand, but you should try to visit a national park here, we have some great ones. Last year I went to Rocky Mountain National Park (specifically Estes Park, Colorado) and it was just spectacular! Yosemite would be THE one to go to in California (although shamefully, I've never been), but the Grand Canyon, as Rikki Cupcake suggested, would be great as well.

  7. I live in San Francisco but am originally from Atlanta. If you go to Birmingham, you certainly need to go to Atlanta, which is the big city of the south! There's a lot to do there, it's really fun, it's much more diverse than a lot of the south, and it would be a shame to miss it.

You're right; New Orleans is a must.

And San Francisco is one of the prettiest cities you will EVER see!

  12. I was going to suggest Austin, Texas as well. It's a great city (the city slogan is "Keep Austin Weird") and I know you'd just adore it. I would also suggest Ft Worth, Texas. It's got a few great 'honky-tonks' that everyone should experience! :)
I live an hour and a half south of Oklahoma City- and an hour and a half north of Ft Worth- so a visit would be SO easy to arrange! xoxo
